Water Access

OVERVIEW

Water is an essential element for green hydrogen production. 9L of water is required to produce 1kg of green hydrogen through electrolysis.

Water will be supplied to the Project via the Stirling Trunk Main, located approximately 3km from the proposed location of the hydrogen facility. Frontier has executed a Water Supply Agreement with Water Corporation, the principal supplier of water in WA, that ensures the availability of up to 1,250kL/day of water for the Project’s green hydrogen production, more than sufficient for Stage One.

Without access to suitable water, a desalination facility would be required, which would add significantly to capital costs, environmental assessments and regulatory approvals.
